There is some speculation that jumping into the crowd may have been scripted, but does that make HipHop (even stuff on the fringes like this) any less WWF? One other thing to consider is that I haven't come across one person who is taking this guy serious, so I have no reason to be upset that he is making a mockery of the culture. And truth be told, were is actions any different than countless other rappers?

Defining himself by his bank account? Check.
Jumping into the crowd to protect (read: defend) his image? Check.

Just as Don't Be a Menace While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood was a spoof on some of my favorite movies, I classify Joaquin's HipHop motivations in the same category: humor. And if I find out that he really, truly wants to do this, then more power to him. I'll still find the humor in it.
