Songs About Women: What Do You Think?

Thanks to YouTube and all of the affordable video editing software, fan-made videos have begun to become a third party promotional vehicle for artists. Check out this video by Aris Jerome for Frank Ocean's Songs For Women and let me know what you think.

Did it make the song hotter?
Did it introduce you to Frank Ocean?
Did it do the song justice?
Was this just a vehicle to make Aris Jerome popular?

As much as I love the song, I don't think this video does much to make it better. While the model in the video is great to look at, the video is actually kind of boring. Further more, it lacks creativity. I don't say that to take a dump on Jerome, but I do say it to suggest that if this is the way you want to make your name, then the video should reflect your true talent.

Songs For Women is taken from Frank Ocean's Nostalgia, Ultra. If you haven't heard this album yet, your missing out on what has been my favorite project of 2011. Even NPR thinks so.
