Thanks to YouTube and all of the affordable video editing software, fan-made videos have begun to become a third party promotional vehicle for artists. Check out this video by Aris Jerome for Frank Ocean's Songs For Women and let me know what you think.

As much as I love the song, I don't think this video does much to make it better. While the model in the video is great to look at, the video is actually kind of boring. Further more, it lacks creativity. I don't say that to take a dump on Jerome, but I do say it to suggest that if this is the way you want to make your name, then the video should reflect your true talent.
